The airline industry is looking to develop biofuels from a variety of feedstocks, according to a Boeing executive. A need to find an alternative for expensive jet fuel is spurring the industry to develop biofuels, and several feedstocks, including algae, soybeans, sugarcane and switchgrass, have shown promise, says Billy Glover, Boeing's director of environmental performance strategy.
