According to a new Rocky Mountain News/CBS poll, 58% of registered Colorado voters are in favor of extending domestic partnership rights to gays and lesbians, but the same poll showed that 52% would vote to support a constitutional amendment that would ban marriage between same-sex partners, by defining marriage as a heterosexual institution. Colorado voters will be able to choose between two competing ballot measures in the November elections, one supporting domestic partnership, the other restricting marriage.
