HBO is reportedly close to finalizing an agreement for Sarah Jessica Parker to star in and executive produce a pilot for a new comedy series. "Divorce" would feature the "Sex and the City" star as a woman who is unsure whether she wants to stay married.
Actor Chris Noth will reprise his role as Mr. Big in the feature film based on the cultish HBO series "Sex and the City." The movie -- scheduled to begin production in New York in September -- will include the HBO show's stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.
Jennifer Lopez is developing a single-camera comedy for Showtime about Latina nannies in Los Angeles. Also working on the project, dubbed "Ayuda," is producer Alexa Junge, a veteran of "Friends" and "Sex and the City."
HBO's hit series "Sex and the City" has doubled as an excellent advertising platform for upscale fashion brands. Retailers, particularly those in Middle America, say the show has significantly boosted sales of items that were once considered luxury goods.
