With MySpace's current net worth pegged at $1.5 billion -- nearly three times the $580 million price paid by current owner News Corp. -- site co-founder Brad Greenspan and some disgruntled shareholders of the site's parent, Intermix Media, have filed suits, charging, among other things, that Intermix stopped other suitors from bidding up the price of the social networker. News Corp. in a statement dismissed Greenspan's allegations as nothing more than "sour grapes."
