Lockheed Martin's Space Systems unit in Louisiana hopes to find jobs on new projects for 2,000 workers when work ends on the space shuttle's external fuel tank. The company received a boost when NASA picked a team led by the company to build the Orion crew capsule. The capsule's large structures will be built at the Louisiana plant and create jobs for 350 people by 2008 and 2009. A contract for Commercial Orbital Transportation Services will create another 200 jobs.
