A University of Rhode Island study says Bristol Myers-Squibb's Plavix anti-clotting drug shows signs of hindering the effects of the antiviral Tamiflu, which is expected to be a key drug in the event of a bird flu pandemic. The research team said using both drugs at the same time would render Tamiflu "therapeutically inactive," making the user susceptible to influenza or a source that spreads it.
