A New York couple's February 2005 Massachusetts marriage is null, but the two men's separation agreement is legally valid, a New York judge has ruled. State Supreme Court Justice Phyllis Gangel-Jacob found that the marriage was invalid under both New York and Massachusetts law, but recognized the legality of a September 2005 agreement that called for Steven Green to pay David Gonzalez $780,000 if the relationship ended.
