Livestock groups are lobbying to end tariffs on imported ethanol and tax credits for blending gasoline with ethanol because the demand for ethanol could drive up the price of corn, which they use for feed. Corn growers are opposed to ending the incentives to produce corn-based ethanol. "Corn affects an awful lot of people, some very positively and some very negatively, and I'm not surprised that that would pit some groups against one another," Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., said.
