Vending companies are offering more nutritious snacks and beverages in their machines as schools and corporations seek more nutritious options for their customers. According to Euromonitor International, vending machine sales of bottled water, energy drinks and low-calorie carbonated beverages are increasing.
Igourmet.com, which sells gourmet cheese and other foodstuffs online, rang up $12 million in sales in 2006. The company is growing at 50% annually, an executive said, and expects to open a second warehouse this year.
