Google, Microsoft and other search rivals have the same right as newspapers and other media to reject unwanted ads, a federal judge has ruled in dismissing a suit filed last year by a man who wanted to publicize Web sites criticizing some North Carolina politicians and the Chinese government. "Search engines have a First Amendment right to reject ads as part of their protected right to speak or not," U.S. District Court Judge Joseph Farnan wrote.
