America's preoccupation with removing trans fats from their diets has some consumers overlooking other obesity causes, several nutrition and health analysts say, and now some trans fats are being substituted with other unhealthy oils. FDA official Barbara Schneeman warns that "consumers can't look at trans fat by itself. They have to look at trans fat, saturated fat and cholesterol for reducing cardiovascular disease," which is available on nutrition labels.
