Casual dining restaurants such as O'Charley's, best known for predictable offerings including salad bars and burgers in suburban and rural areas, are adding more ethnic and high-end offerings to their menus. The move is part of an effort to stave off increased competition from "fast casual" competitors such as Panera Bread and Moe's Southwest Grill, which offer quick meals, often for a lower price.
