The British High Court has sided with Glanbia regarding a suit involving Danone's "Essensis" trademark and Glanbia's Yoplait Essence brand. Danone argued Yoplait Essence infringed on its trademarked "Essensis." Glanbia counter-sued, saying Danone had not put the trademark to use within five years of its registration.
Coca-Cola, H.J. Heinz and Kraft Foods are repackaging some of their products to boost sales and draw attention to their iconic foods. Kraft, for example, will roll out a stiff, resealable tray for its bacon in June.
