The mortality rate of cancer in the U.S. is declining, but the American Cancer Society says progress is slowing down, as too few people are getting regular screening tests and maintaining healthy lifestyles. The report also found that fewer than 50% of people 50 and older have had a recent colorectal screening test, even though screening could cut colorectal cancer deaths in half.
