A2 Corporation plans to rebrand its line of products in Australia, which currently distributes six primary products in more than 1,000 stores, in a joint venture with Freedom Nutritional Products. "I view it as getting to where we want to faster, quicker and bigger than we would have without having FNP, because I think we were going well in Australia," A2 CEO Anthony Lawler said.
Consumption of fish, especially those high in omega-3 fatty acids, and the use of vitamin D supplements can help reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration in the elderly, two new studies found. AMD is the leading cause of blindness in those older than 60, but researchers looking at 4,519 people between the ages of 60 and 80 found that those who ate more fish were least likely to have the disease, and a second study of 7,752 people found that those who took vitamin D had a reduced risk of early AMD.
Kraft Foods has said that construction on its cutting-edge cheese and drink manufacturing facility in Bahrain is on time and should be open for operations by January 2008. "The project team from Kraft Foods is working round-the-clock to make sure that the plant will be completed on schedule," the Kraft Foods GCC managing director said.
