Mars will sell pink-and-white limited edition M&Ms on its Web site through December, with 10% of the sales going to the Susan G. Komen For the Cure breast cancer foundation. Each M&M has a pink ribbon on one side, with "for the cure" printed on the other.
Latino grocery stores such as Compare Foods, Met Food, Western Beef and C-Town offer a variety of Central and South American foodstuffs such as tropical fruits, frozen tamales and prepared sauces such as mole and sofrito. Specialty stores including Whole Foods and Fairway also are adding more Latino selections.

Sargento Foods acquired Portionables Inc., which makes frozen sauces, soups, desserts, side dishes, and fruit and vegetable purees, for an undisclosed price. "Portionables offered us an exciting and unique opportunity to secure best-in-class product development expertise and manufacturing," Sargento Foods chairman and CEO Lou Gentine said.
