Wal-Mart plans to open 190 to 200 U.S. superstores this year, down from the 265 to 270 it anticipated, and 170 new supercenters a year through 2010. The slowdown could hurt packaged-food companies such as General Mills, Kellogg and Del Monte, which heavily rely on Wal-Mart for sales, observers say.
