Jill Pettijohn, owner of raw-food restaurant Jill's in Brooklyn, N.Y., counts Donna Karan among the fans of her five-day juice fasts and raw-food concoctions. Her kitchen houses a barely used stove along with powders, extracts and such basics as green algae, pink Himalayan salt and Celtic sea salt.
