According to data from TNS Media Intelligence, the top 10 advertisers in Spanish-language media increased their spending 3.6% in the first quarter of this year vs. the same period in 2006, reaching a total of $256 million. However, overall spending on Spanish-language media is expected to trend downward compared to 2006, owing to the fact that last year's ad revenues were fattened by World Cup broadcasts.
