The new ad-driven AOL's continuing status as a Time Warner Inc. unit will be decided by the end of year, according to Time Warner Chief Executive Richard Parsons, speaking via webcast at a Merrill Lynch U.S. media conference in London. "By the end of this year, we can make the call on AOL [on whether] we have found a business model or approach that can result in sustainable growth over time," Parsons said. "We're in the right area."
