Researchers say food can boost the effectiveness of some drugs, possibly allowing the use of smaller doses. An analysis of data on GlaxoSmithKline's new breast cancer drug Tykerb showed a full meal increased the amount of the drug circulating in the body by 167%, while taking it after a high-fat meal boosted it by 325%, the researchers said.
