Fridley, Minn., is looking for funding ideas to build a stop on the proposed Northstar commuter rail line. With no federal funding, the city will have to pay for a part of the stop without knowing for sure if the station will get built. A $1.5 million tunnel is required for the station in the first round of construction, and the city has a Nov. 1 deadline to gather funds.
