U.S. diplomats around the world have been complaining about shoddy construction at U.S. embassies as the State Department's $5 billion budget feels the strain of having to add new security at the embassies. Broken air conditioning and electrical fires are just some of the hazards, and diplomats say the department's one-size-fits-all approach to building is part of the problem.
