After three years of growth, the nonresidential construction industry in Canada should post record profits in 2007 before a four-year tapering-off period, according to an industrial outlook report from the Conference Board of Canada. Rising material and labor costs are expected to cause builders' profit margins to thin, and the tight labor market is of particular concern, according to the report.
