In what's being described as a "corporate alignment," General Motors on Oct. 1 will transfer its U.S. Saab account from Interpublic's Lowe, New York, to sibling shop McCann Erickson, Birmingham, Mich., which is losing GM's Buick business to Publicis Groupe's Leo Burnett, Chicago, as part of a consolidation. In January, McCann is slated to regain GM's corporate account from sibling Deutsch, Los Angeles, which has had it for a year.
