An agreement regarding the inspection and quarantine management of dairy products exported to China is expected to benefit Australia's dairy industry, with annual dairy exports to China estimated at $60 million, said Warren Truss, Australia's Minister for Trade. "The rising aspirations and prosperity of China's middle class are creating a huge market for processed foods such as dairy, and the nation's dairy imports have doubled in recent years to meet this skyrocketing demand," Truss added.
