More than 40 of Marco's Pizza's 100 franchised stores are operated by company executives, and the primary reason is their belief in the product, said Cameron Cummins, Marco's vice president of franchise marketing and recruiting. "Executives who own stores are not capable of making decisions that are made in a vacuum or from the proverbial ivory tower," executive vice president Dave Black said. "We have to live with those decisions."
