Women who ate vegetables, fruit and legumes and drank less than a quarter ounce of alcohol daily were found to have a 57% lower risk of heart attack, compared with women who did not live similar lifestyles, a study says. Staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight and avoiding smoking are other factors that contribute to lower heart attack risk, experts say.
