Although the repercussions from this summer's credit crunch continue, executives at Bear Stearns say they are optimistic about the company's future. Speaking to investors, the executives said the firm's investment-banking and equity-underwriting businesses remained robust, while the fixed-income division, which includes the bank's mortgage divisions, would recover and re-emerge even stronger.
