A new prescription pill minder will go on sale next year that will store, organize and dispense up to 10 different drugs, keeping track of complex dosing schedules and linking patients to the Internet and their doctor's offices, in an effort to help them remember to take their medications. The Electronic Medication Management System, called EMMA for short, addresses a medical "non-adherence" problem that can lead to worsening illnesses and preventable deaths.
