"Kosher" was the most frequently used claim on food products introduced in the U.S. market in 2007, according to information from Mintel's Global New Products Database. Kosher-certified products have gained prominence because of an increased market focus on Jewish consumers and the growing demand for dairy- and meat-free products. Product claims such as "all natural" and "no additives or preservatives" also were among the top performers on Mintel's list.
