Brazil's real gained 0.5 percent Wednesday to reach 1.7712 per dollar, adding to a 20% rise in the currency's value in 2007. "Investment flows, be it from trade or portfolio investments, will continue to support the real this year," said Francisco Carvalho, who heads currency trading at Liquidez Corretora DVTM in Sao Paulo.
