Danisco now has a British patent for its Grinstead IcePro stabilizer systems technology -- a dairy replacement technology for reducing fat in ice cream without affecting its quality and texture. Danisco dairy industry manager Jennifer Lindsey said the IcePro system not only addresses consumers' health concerns but also provides the "added benefit of protecting against the quality defects found commonly in ice cream over the course of the product's shelf life."
