Toy maker Mattel, which owns the global rights to the board game "Scrabble," has sent a letter to Facebook, asking it to remove the popular third-party application "Scrabulous," an online version of "Scrabble" that is played by members of the online social network. Mattel, which owns the global rights of the popular word game, says the online version infringes on its copyright. Hasbro, which owns the rights to the "Scrabble" game in the U.S. and Canada, reportedly also has put Facebook on notice.
