A new NFIB poll of its New York members indicates strong opposition to a proposed bill to require businesses to give employees up to 12 weeks of paid family leave and a bill that would increase the state minimum wage higher than the federal minimum wage. "Now is the absolutely worst time to impose a new set of costly mandates that drive entrepreneurs and job creators out of New York," said Mike Elmendorf, state NFIB director.
