Sprint Nextel reported a $29.5 billion loss for the fourth quarter, saying it expects to lose as many as 1.2 million annual-contract customers during the first quarter. Sprint CEO Dan Hesse said the company planned to push Sprint as its main brand and would use the Nextel brand for more targeted products such as push-to-talk. He added that QChat would debut in the second quarter, with plans for it to be available in 20 markets by the end of the year.
