Another wave of write-downs will hit Wall Street as the credit crisis continues to spread, analysts report. Banks have already reported $120 billion in write-downs in the crunch that started with the collapse of the subprime mortgage market last summer. "This correction feels a lot deeper and wider and more prolonged than what we have seen historically," said one senior Wall Street executive who was not authorized to speak to the media.
