Ted Farnsworth lost $1 million in his first attempt to enter the beverage business. He's back with a natural combination juice drink called Purple, and the product is taking off. John Sicher, editor of Beverage Digest, says that while he cannot comment on the
prospects of the product, "Purple falls into the burgeoning category of
'functional' beverages aimed at consumers who want more than a drink
that simply tastes good and refreshes."
