A Bloomberg News survey of 62 economists found that they expect the U.S. economy to expand at an annual rate of 0.3% in the first half of this year, slower than previously predicted. The economists expect the Federal Reserve to slash interest rates and keep them at 2% through the end of the year. "We now see the Fed pursuing a slightly more accommodative path for monetary policy than just a week ago," said Richard Berner, co-head of global economics at Morgan Stanley.
