Anti-smoking drugs such as Pfizer's Chantix and GlaxoSmithKline's Zyban have been approved by the FDA, but concerns remain over their efficacy and safety. A smoking-cessation expert cautioned smokers against having "false expectations" about the treatments, saying that they only suppress withdrawal, but do not actually address the psychological aspect of nicotine addiction.
