Nestle has been coping with the rising costs of commodities by increasing the prices of its products that contain milk, cocoa, coffee and cereals, according to reports on a U.K. announcement. "The group was forced to advance price increases for finished goods in order to partially absorb the higher input costs ... this accounts for a strong pricing element in the organic growth for the first two months of 2008," the Swiss-based company said.
