Paper airline tickets have been on a rapid decline in the past few years and soon are expected to be all but gone. In the U.S., ARC says that more than 99% of tickets issued by agents will be e-tickets by the end of year. In a few situations, such as flights involving two or more airlines and for infants, paper tickets will continue to be issued, according to travel agents and airlines.
