Though the three major presidential hopefuls share similar views on immigration issues, there are shades of difference, especially when it comes to temporary guest workers. John McCain last year sponsored a major bill proposing an expanded guest-worker program with a path to citizenship. Hillary Clinton voted for that bill but now says she opposes guest workers, while Barack Obama believes a guest-worker program with a central database could improve wages and working conditions across the board.
