The economic slowdown has failed to discourage sales of high-end A/V products, such as projector screens and flat-panel TVs, according to Runco dealers, who say middle-class customers in search of quality are also stepping up to buy expensive home systems. The dealers maintain that mass-market retailers can still drive sales to middle-class consumers by taking the time to explain the benefits of buying the high-end equipment.
