Saint-Gobain announced Monday it will close its Vetrotex America plant in Wichita Falls, Texas, which will affect 720 employees. The factory was part of Saint-Gobain's reinforcement and composites group, which was sold to Owens-Corning in late 2007. Vetrotex was excluded from the sale because of antitrust concerns, and Saint-Gobain said continuing to operate the plant as a stand-alone facility was financially unfeasible.
