Southwest hopes to settle a $10.2 million government fine related to the maintenance problems. "There are some that have lost trust in Southwest Airlines," he said. "We will have to regain that trust." The airline on Thursday returned 34 of its 38 grounded planes to service and resumed a normal schedule.
