Plans by Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick to allow for the licensing of three casinos in that state would produce as much as $2.3 billion in gross gaming revenues and create as many as 21,000 permanent jobs, according to a report from the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. The report concluded that the casinos would create just 10,000 to 11,500 one-time construction jobs, well below the 30,000 jobs estimated by the governor.
