The city of Weston, Fla. has agreed to stop using sand on its playgrounds after Enrique Madriñán, who uses a wheelchair, filed a lawsuit alleging the city's failure to make its parks accessible to those with disabilities was in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The sand will be replaced by a rubbery surface that is considered kid-safe and wheelchair-friendly.
