Digital Realty Trust Inc. transformed a 91-year-old printing plant in Chicago into what is now the world's first LEED Gold-certified data center. The project involved transforming part of the R.R. Donnelly & Sons Co. printing plant, which dates to 1917, into a 20,000-square-foot, raised-floor space with abundant green features throughout.
