The Travel Institute, after facing a number of dark years, is reinventing itself having generated a "sizeable" income in 2007, says Chairman Scott Ahlsmith. At the beginning of this decade, travel agents were busy refocusing their businesses and were less concerned with gaining education and certifications from the Institute, Ahlsmith said. Thus, the Institute has altered its focus to cater to agents' needs.
